I mentioned a thing called Battstock last week so thought I'd better elucidate. It's the name of a 1-day music festival that I'm running (with the tremendously helpful help of Graeme Wychwood Merrifield) in aid of Daisy's school The Batt in Witney, Oxfordshire.

Don't go thinking this is some small fry event in a school hall - it's a full blown happening with outdoor staging, food, a bar (run by Wychwood Brewery who are also our official sponsors) stalls, a healing garden and stacks for children to do.
We also have an amazing line up of musical talent including Danny & The Champions of The World (about to tour with The Magic Numbers) / The Epstein (Bob Harris' new fave band) / Daisy Chapman / Les Clochards / Witchwood School of Rock and Jonathan Haselden. All this for just £5 adults / £2 under 16's.
Sat 11 September is the date and it kicks off at 1pm. You can get tickets here www.wegottickets.com/event/86482 and if you buy them before 31 Aug you could win tickets to next year's Wychwood Festival, £50 worth of CDs and cases of beer.
Even if you can't make it or would rather stick pins in your legs please let others know about it by using the share this button at the bottom of the page.
OK plug over - today's TunA is a wonderfully eccentric piece by Gilbert Linley (aka 'Gilbert'). This London-born drummer/keyboard player studied classical music and composition at Oxford University and Goldsmith's College, before writing soundtracks for film, television and theatre for some years.

His new album Wahoola! is to be released under a new name - The Knitting - due to the profusion/confusion of other music artists sharing the name Gilbert.
We'll be back tomorrow with more musical shenanigans
