Detach and play!

It was the Ivor Novello Awards yesterday and for the second year running Nick Hemming from one of our favorite bands The Leisure Society was nominated for Best Song Musically & Lyrically.

But for the second year in a row he didn't win :-( It's one thing to lose out to Guy Garvey from Elbow, but Lily Allen?*$£!

I blame the Tories!!! I can console myself with the fact that they'll be playing at this year's Wychwood Festival first weekend in June.

We'll be having a whole week of artists playing Wychwood starting on Monday.

Today's TunA is a piece of jazzy funk, which we rarely feature on the site, but that's only 'coz I don't get that much submitted.

The band is Academy of Funk and they are rather generously letting you download their new album Dea Ex Machina for nothing, zilch, gratis, 100% FREE.

Give us your track reactions and vote for your TunA the Week

See you in about 60 hours, depending on when you listen to Monday's TunA.

Pip pip
