Yes it's Bank Holiday time again. When do us Brits ever do any work? I promise they'll be no talk of the election this week, even on Friday, but please let us be spared Plastic Dave!!

Here's a track from the Fountains of Wayne whose Traffic & Weather album was one of my favourites of 2007. I think there is more than a touch of Squeeze about them, but with Californian accents rather than ones from Deptford.

Today's TunA is another from the Limozine stable. They may not exactly be the most innovative band around, but I think they are bloody fantastic.

This is their new single (out June 14), which confusingly is lifted from their debut album Car Crash Casino. Their new album Evil Love SHOULD be out now, but I can't find any links to it :-(

Listening to this changed my mind about who should win the Mercury Prize. These 4 lads from Kendal come across like a cross between The Smiths, Joy Division and Talking Heads. Hypnotic and utterly great. CD £5 inc. p&p / Download £6.95
