Detach and play!

Over the years we've brought quite a few bands and artists to your attention who have gone on to 'make it' - Official Secrets Act, Stornoway, Officer Kicks, Baker Birt & His Magic Fingers (that last one might be made up) but none more so than the rather splendid The Leisure Society.

As well as releasing one of my all time bestest albums in The Sleeper (if you haven't got a copy yet you HAVE to) they were nominated for an Ivor Novello award in 2009 and now they've just gone and ruddy well been noninated again for the track Save It For Someone Who Cares.

You can catch them live at Wychwood Festival this June!

Somebody who I first heard about because he played Wychwood last year is Dan Whitehouse.

We've featured a couple of Dan's tracks before (just type his name into the Canned TunA player to listen to them) but this track seems to be taking him in a more poppy direction.

Give us your track reactions and vote for your TunA the Week

We'll be back next week with a storming mix of stuff.

I you enjoy the site don't keep it a secret. Use the box on the left hand side of the site to send an email to your mates inviting them to join.

Pip pip
