Lou Brown is a singer-songwriter from Bournemouth. In 2003, she won the Southwest's Young Achiever of the Year Award and subsequently won a grant from the Prince's Trust to fund her first major album project.

She's supported the likes of Hazel O'Connor, Paul Young, Boo Hewerdine, Albert Lee, Clive Gregson, and Steve Tilston and in 2009 appeared at Glastonbury.

This track comes from her impressive new album Calm The Rising Waters. Have a listen to some of the other tracks, but I think there is a definite sound of Kirsty MacColl in there.
