Detach and play!

We were blessed with blue skies and warm sunshine for Record Store Day on Saturday and lucky enough to have some amazing musicians play for us during the day and later at Fat Lils.

I don't think many people in Witney know just how lucky they are to have Rapture on their doorstep, but I certainly do and I take my hat off to Gary, Mark, Carl, Tom (extra kudos for donning the Truck Monster costume) Geoff and Becka for running the best record store in MY world.

I'm pleased to report that they had a great trading day and are thriving. Long may they continue to be The Last Stop Standing in Oxon!

Whilst I'm being back-slap-tastic a HUGE thanks to The Roundheels, Les Clochards, Matthew Kilford, Ute, Trevor Moss and Hannah-Lou, Danny & The Champions of The World, Good Things Happen In Bad Towns, The Black Hats, The Original Rabbit Foot Spasm Band (who won't be on David Cameron's Xmas Card List) Two Fingers of Firewater, Mr Fogg, The Epstein* and Every Hippies Dream for giving up their time and being utterly fab!

One band that didn't play, but hopefully will be on the bill next year are Dial F for Frankenstein. Named after an Arthur C Clarke short story this Oxford band (is there no end to the rich vein of talent in the county?) is currenly being touted for great things.

Give us your track reactions

One last thing; on Sunday I found out that our fave Hip Hop band Queens English had been crowned best act in their catagory at The People's Music Awards. As you guys are found of saying MASSIVE RESPECT. We love you and are very proud to support you! Here's their video for the excellent Just
