Lindsay and I went to see Saint Peter Gabriel @ the O2 in Greenwich on Sunday. I have to confess to never having BEEN to the venue or having SEEN the artist live before, but both came out with top marks.

There can’t be many 60+ year old blokes who can hold an audience of several 1000 people spellbound for the best part of 3 hours, albeit with the backing of an amazing orchestra.

As good as the first half was (the whole of his new Scratch My Back covers album) it was part 2 with orchestrated versions of songs like Don’t Give Up, Signal To Noise and the emotionally stirring Solsbury Hill which did it for me.

Throw in the immense visual spectacle and had a gig that will stay in the memory for a long, long time.

Today's TunA comes from Conchitas an electro-rock band from East London. Their album Love Hurts will be released this summer on Delicious Records (hopefully with no trace of Leo Sayer).

Listening to this changed my mind about who should win the Mercury Prize. These 4 lads from Kendal come across like a cross between The Smiths, Joy Division and Talking Heads. Hypnotic and utterly great. CD £5 inc. p&p / Download £6.95
