I think he/they are really "experimental" and this is a compromise towards 4 minute pop songs he/they would rather not make.

It's early Soiuxie meets early Floyd to my ear, which will certainly find an audience but the Myspace offering, "Data swap" is a digital dub of this and not very interesting. I won't be part of the cult but I think they will have one.

rather like the experimental flirtatiousness, can see it as Lovecraft type promo video, Shadow over Innesmouth, dark fishy creatures :)
