Does this resonate with any imperialistic tendencies?

Weeell! I think even the most determined would find this difficult to classify.

The sound of Ian McCulloch is obvious in the vocal, which is a shame in a sense, as the rest of the track is startling in it's originality. Mainly because of the strange odd legged rhythms, I think they blow their chances in the catchy pop market but have tremendous power bordering on Prog Rock.

They make similar rhythm experiments on "Slide" but "Colder" and "2 Chances" are much more commercial.

Hey Ade

cheers for this! great site, will enjoy flicking through some of the previous tunes

all feedback welcome on EE :)

possibly worth noting that like all our other songs, 1995 was written in cyberspace, we don't use rehearsal rooms, instead we develop all our idea's online and record as we go!

Love this track. It's pretty rare I enjoy the imperious and overblown but this this takes me back to hearing Puressence in the 90s.

However I don't do iTunes (I regard Apple as on a par with the North Koren government) - will a CD come out of the latest release?

I'm assured by the band that hard copy will be available later in the year Coolnoise.

Glad somebody else shares my distrust of Jobs and Co. :-)
