The Haiku

A Haiku is a short Japanese poem, but does this get on honorable mention or does it make you want to commit Harakiri?

Like this tune, nice feel with space. We've done a gig on the same bill as Haiku in Bournmouth with unsigned chart. Worth trying to catch Haiku live if you get the chance

I loved this track all except for the weird recorder interlude which rather spoilt the feel of it for me. Reminded me a lot of the work of Michael Head of whom I'm a big fan and perhaps the recordery bit could be replaced by some strings or even a trumpet solo as used in some of the Pale Fountains stuff? Just a thought, still loved it though ...

PS and I'm going to buy it!

Splendid. Thanks for the comments from both and good to have you back Kim

Thanks all, and thanks Ade, for helping us out once again!

Kim, just for info (no offence taken by your comments, and none intended in the reply) the weird recorder is a stylophone, put through an effects chamber. When we play it live, it's just done through old fashioned whistling. And thanks for buying it.

No prob, Phil. You can tell I'm a technophobe! Whistling sounds more my sort of thing! Good luck with it.

I guess, after driving all day, I was in the wrong frame of mind for this. The words suggest a desperate state of mind yet the tune is a jolly little number. I'm glad Kim liked it so much.
