I love a 3 chord thrash, though this has the makings of something else. The sound is big, like stadium rock and if he can get a bit of air, some space, into that big sound, I think it will fly.

The song reminded me of a Simple Minds number and they certainly pumped up their production in the late 80's.

Ian, sadly is not a very cred name in the history of Rock and he might just be better off with Da Silva, given this punchy sound. Look how long Johnny Cougar, John Cougar Melancamp, Melanie John and all of those acts took to decide. Ian Gillan went solo and called himself/his band Gillan ....er.. Where is everyone?

I listened to this track with Desert Island Discs playing in the background, and it complemented Rolf Harris's "Two Little Boys" very well indeed!

Listening to this changed my mind about who should win the Mercury Prize. These 4 lads from Kendal come across like a cross between The Smiths, Joy Division and Talking Heads. Hypnotic and utterly great. CD £5 inc. p&p / Download £6.95
