This has a wonderful laid back pace, and the feel is as much a pop one (the shift into the major at "An I wanna tell ya" is certainly a pop thing) as strictly blues. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers comes to mind but much of the interest for me in that band is the atmospheric, slow dirty blues of Mike Campbell's guitar and Benmont Tench (a great producer) on drawbar organ.
The sleeze is missing a bit here, the guitar a bit samey. The vocal a bit shaky and at this tempo you need a deep groove and a tight rhythm. Lastly, songs about being a singer are a bit overdone.

Paul Nixon is good, but Marina and the Diamonds are truly dreadful - are you sure it's not a clever parody; she does look a bit like Sacha Baron Cohen!
