Does Alex leave you on a high?
Can you see what I've done there? (Sod off Ed.)

I'm glad of this resurgence of a folk oriented sound that exposes the song writer/writing and is not dominated by the catchiness of studio production.
My only gripe here is the need to Americanize the intonation even slightly. Our own tradition is at least as good, I guess it's the massive success of Bon Iver, Smog and the like that perpetuate that.

If there's a hint of Nick Drake, there's a big old suggestive chunk of Devendra Banhart, but that's fine for me.

I was reminded of Donovan (and I don't mean Jason) not that I can really remember what he sounded like.
Very good song and very well performed.

I liked this, he's got a really nice voice, nice style and good production
didn't leave me "high" though, more chilled. I shall listen at home with a phattyboombatty and report back though ;)
