This track is remarkably free of cliché and musically it's got a lot going for it.

The music scene needs risk takers but the views expressed particularly " a couple of grams"etc will ruin it's chances of being taken seriously and a clever lyricist e.g. Andy Partridge of XTC has always found a way to express the undesirable with a witty metaphor.

Their early singles were great examples of punk that was not punk and there was a lot of that inc. The Stranglers "Peaches" .

I remember parties like that. I love the guitar sound and they sound fun.

Do drug references do any harm? I heard 'Heroin' on Radio 4's Today programme a couple of weeks ago. Even in this climate of litigous outrage I don't think people really expect the young to stay chemical free.
