Ah, big hair, big shoulders, and huge choruses backed by banks of sythesised strings - this clearly evokes those days of Ah-ha, Flock of Seagulls, and Ultravox.

The 80s are big again and this band can clearly deliver a refreshed version of that decade.

Personally I'm not going to journey back with them - but even an old cynic like me felt a surge of emotion as the final chorus kicked in

I like the way that technology has brought that monster 80s sound within reach of those outside the top studio circuit.

Tear Drop Explodes, Big Country, even AHA come to mind. I would have voted for it but for Tuesday's extraordinary offering.
