"The following broadcast contains some strong language." I was very surprised by the huge contrast (mismatch?) between the tone of the lyric; bitter, angry, cynical even unpalatable, hectoring; and that of the tune: bright, optimistic, cheerful.

It kept me listening through the bile.

Fine vocal performance but very damaging for the voice, tiring towards the end of the track in serious need of diaphragm support if he's going to make a career of songs like this. See a good coach soon.

Its nice to know that people are concerned for the welfare of others diaphragm's!
The entire point of this song is irony and contrast, therefore the 'mismatch' between the jolly melody and the cynical content is intended to reflect that.
I think it is rather clever... but then I would.

Ohhhello - I think Mr Cordy knows that and he's just playing devil's advocate.

I was put off by the cheerful music but went back to listen again after ACs comments and found the lyrics rather wonderful.
