I first heard human beat box in big Afro-Cuban gig. I think it evolved when Cubans heard hip hop but didn't know how to make it without the equipment.

Then it was about ten guys all, incredibly, in total sync.

nicely lean - so much beatboxing sounds like they are packing in the effects and you are left feeling exhausted
