Loving the words as much as the music I find a mismatch here between the quality of the finish and the quality of the lyrics.

There is a retro feel very much in keeping with the mood of the time but the vocal edge in the chorus is magical indeed, I think they need to grow the content in the verses which to my ear are re-treads and not long for useful service before they let them down badly.
