What do YOU think of the moggy teasing musicians?

I love drone violin/viola beyond words - never understood why every band hasn't used it since the Velvets first album demonstrated it's power.

Nice to hear it used in such a melodramtic number as this. I'm very impressed with this and may end up in Witney if I can't get a copy of the EP any nearer

Wonderful number! Reminded me oddly of The Associates and Early Cure. Lovely creative Bass playing. Loved the Clock-like playing for the line, "Counting down the Days.." Art school, in a good way.

Their Myspace selection is also excellent. There is a tendency towards strange, extended structures, such as "Down", the components of which are all good but the whole is potentially, dangerously alienating. They do the strange jangling very well.

Very, very 80s innit? I don't really get the Velvet Underground comparison. Maybe there's a kind of second hand thing where other bands who clearly came under the Reed/Cale spell, (The Cult, The Smiths, The Clash) have influenced this one.

But I agree, they do this very well. Funny thing though, I didn't much like the punk *or* new wave sound first time around. I appreciate it much better now - 20 years late! - and its strange and quite nice to hear it through a completely new band.
