Is this a party you'd have liked to have been at?

How clumsy was that sentence? Marks out of 10 - don't be shy!

PS - has anybody spotted ex-Avenger and coffee promoter Gareth Hunt playing drums on the 'other' song! I was convinced he was dead - maybe I SHOULD start believing after all!!!

The Lennon feel would have been more complete with draw-bar organ rather than the washy strings. Loved the slide guitar, wished there'd been more.

One thing Lennon was most adept at was putting his socio-political statement in a palatable way. This walks a fine line. The shape of the song has suffered at the hands of the sentiment.

I couldn't watch the vid, if one truly believed in the omnipotence of the godhead, one wouldn't actively promote her/him in any way.

It's like watching someone shoot up heroin to me, but I'm glad we're allowed to laugh if we want.

I'm sure Karl Wallinger would be very flattered by this tribute but I much prefer the original sound. I'll stick with World Party and leave the Viewing to trainspotters.:)
