The Ry Cooder reference seems to have caused some raised eyebrows - I will qualify it by saying his guitar work with BVSV. And if you don't know who BVSC are then tough :-)

I don't like the Afro Celt fusions I've heard and the way western musicians tinker with ethnic music but this is a subtle and delightful track. The intervention is careful and minimal.
Much of what passes for ancient traditional music in Britain is 19th century romanticism(The tunes, like the kilt are Victorian fakes)and I'd hate to see other people's traditions trampled in the same way.

I think the difference with these guys is that they've committed to working with this tribe and they plough a %age of their profits into a charity set up to help them.
