No worries RHM - next time I'm down the Smoke eh?

So the Housemartins make your skin crawl, but Haircut 100 are OK? Each to their own :-)

PS - as a tribute to the late Clement Freud here is a funny very joke

Like the RHM I hesitated to click when you mentioned that Whirlpool Guesthouse sounded like the Housemartins - but yes, a bit bright pop a la Nick Heywood. Altogether i think it sounds a bit uninspired, guitar solo remininscent of George Harrison in his Leslie inspired Abbey Road period. Lovely CF joke; what an amazing and rather puzzling bloke - brother of Lucien Freud, father of Emma Freud, Grandson of Sigmund.

Didn't hear the Housemartins likeness myself. There was a bit of a conflict for me between a poppy niceness and a fringey twang that could keep them from pleasing either audience. It's a lovely feel and would like to hear more but not buying this month as I just bought up the Mory Kanté back catalogue.
