If there was a guitar in there I would be tempted to label it Punk. The insistent energy, the repetitive refrains and the pace of the over zealous drummer. Give it a synthesizer backing, however and somehow it cannot be. In these genre busting times I think it has a great deal to offer. If you listen to the first BBC sessions of Blondie, then to the commercial recordings they put out, it is possible to see the journey this act needs to take to make outrage a salable property.

well not sure about Baby Gravy but certainly plenty of "Toddler" Gravy pouring out of Alfie all night...!! ughh..poor lad and poor dad for mopping it all up. Still, D&V aside, I like this...takes me back to those nights listening to John Peel under the bed sheets....top stuff from the Bisto Brigade...

Well done RHM - you managed to make reference to their name without sounding dodgy - unlike my attempts which had to be scrapped :-)

It sounds like Robots in Disguise with synthesisers to me. It is probably my tinny laptop speakers but the bass sounds too far back in the mix, which may well have been undertaken by the drummer's partner. Nice vocal part with swaggering attitude. Most of that 80s synth angst was studiously under played - great to hear all that energy. Releived there are no tedious cricket analogies today!!
