Does this give you the nautical (h)ump?

There are some sweet, gentle, lounge style grooves in there but I found ideas getting interesting snatched away and replaced with a variant that was less so. Successful lounge artists really know how to milk a good idea. Why the artist thought it was a good idea to combine this with a "Bonzo Dog" style talk over I don't really know. If the objective is to be English, why express yourself in a mixture of Euro Lounge and Hip hop? "My life in the Bush of Ghosts" by Brian Eno and David Byrne is nearly 30 years old and still sounds radical and relevant. I think this track needs an edge. It could go wierd or it could lay way back.

"Love's significant other" is altogether more successful/coherent. The animation is also very charming

That's because you both have a symbiotic musical relationship created and manipulated by the tune police that are the real 'brains' behind this site....nah, ha, ha, ha, ha!!!!

Or it could just be that you are a copycat Kim :-)

Nice track. It's in the great tradition of Lemon Jelly : never take music too seriously!

I couldn't agree more. Have another listen to Gilbert and Proof of Concept in the archive if you like this one
