This didn't grab me despite the clear John Martyn references! Hope the move is going well and Glastonbury is all you could wish for. (Don't force yourself into a MacDonalds - even for the sake of the TunA. It's not worth it!)

Actually I do remember Dead Can Dance. I liked them a lot at one time - seems like a lifetime ago now.

What impresses me about this, apart from the musicianship is that harmonically it is a really evolved blues. Has a much more improvised feel than Mr.Martyn's work and centered more on the vocal I think. This type of voice is very distinctive, unusual and attractive these days. The great Buddy Guy was my highlight of the generally poor tv coverage this year from Glastonbury. Capturing his wit and relaxed charm as well as his great skill with an audience.
