Give us your thoughts on their 2nd outing in the land of TunA

As one of those who really could not STAND the vocals last time you featured this lot I promised myself I wouldn't comment this time. In deference to my late Nan's advice "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all!" (Well, :), better late than never.)

But I can't keep my promise. Because I really, really like Killer Bees! Her voice works in this one, for me anyway. And it IS quirky and engaging and also really charming.

Ahhhh...the heart of the Ice Queen is melted by the Italian songstress :-)

I felt manipulated rather than charmed, I can't stand the "spoilt childish" vocal. A better pace to a song and a cleverer atmosphere would be hard to achieve and reminded me of some of the work of Bill Callahan, alias "Smog"http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=37721479.
The song writing is totally exposed and dare not fail. It's a shame I am so offended by this vocal.

Interesting Mr. C - both you and SaraB didn't like the vocal last time, this time SaraB did but you still think it the work of the devil ;-)

OK - NOW I go and buy this CD. I didn't get around to it last time for some reason but this track has won me over. I LOVE it!

Actually it's the song itself that I find so lovely and which melted my icy heart. :) But the songstress definitely *didn't* get in the way for me - her voice worked this time and that's a massive plus!

I hadn't noticed the similarities to Smog but I am playing 'Let Me See the Colts' (from A River Ain't Too Much to Love), as I write and yep Killer Bees would fit nicely in the same musical stable! It's a great track. Really good week so far, Ade. Two thumbs up.

Got the CD and it meets all expectations. Some of the tracks stand up to anything else in the genre.
