Her voice reminds me of the late, great jazz pianist and singerBlossom Dearie, though this song writing is very straight. She has made a very interesting musical statement here but it becomes too repetitive. The use of unusual instrumentation is comic and helps and makes light of the disturbing lyrics, another feature of Dearie's work.
