Is Pyke a pick?

Sure is! Though If I'm picky I think the double tracked vocal is heavy handed.

Sifting through the effect you can hear that he has far more than an adequate voice and it's a shame much of the subtlety in it is mushed by the treatment.

Love the song.

Love this song. Great start to the day. Seen him play a couple of times - with Passenger and once, if memory serves, supporting Ben Kweller - and he's great live too. Nothing else to say today. Phew.

Much taken with Salthouse. I found their album, 'Lay your dark low' at their online shop.

Loved the Salt House and really liked the Pyke!

Yeah, the Salt House track is gorgeous. And that accent... So nice hearing a regional accent rather than fauxmericana!

In turns delicate and devastating. An album about death and loss. For fans of Nick Drake and The Leisure Society. Don't be surprised to see this on many people's 'best of' lists at the end of the year. And they are playing Oxford next Feb as a Glovebox gig.
